Artistry

Artistry

From wondrous beginnings discovered at Temple Newsam during the estate's restoration, to the precise revival of archival designs, the historical significance of restored designs is pivotal in our ethos. We believe the beauty and craftsmanship of the past should not be lost to time but renewed and carried forward for future generations.

Collaboration with exemplary artists and makers underpins our brand. Working closely with QEST scholars, emerging and established talent around the globe, and highly skilled makers, our storytelling is layered with artistic sincerity, making way for these masterpieces of the future.

Restoration

While our story began at the discovery of Temple Newsam’s treasures, our commitment to provenance extends worldwide. These global influences inform our work, from Chinese silks to French cottons, and we embrace the authenticity and originality of documents, always honouring provenance in everything we do.
Description

This Himalayan variety of the Allium flower, the Wallichi, gently sways with its stems and dramatic flower heads, moving gracefully across this fluid, rhythmic floral design. Inspired by Zoffany archival documents, the Wallichi design has been painted in a watercolour style to depict a time-worn effect.
