Description

Our debut Indoor Outdoor Fabrics collection, Zoffany x Michael S. Smith is a new body of technical textiles born from hand-selected archival pieces.

Thorny Vine is inspired by an archival document from the 19th century that depicts a dark-green trail of roses on a stark white background. It was hand-picked for its striking block-print texture and artfully unbalanced composition – elements that shaped the new interpretation. A custom palette breathes new life into the original design, replacing dramatic contrasts with softer, tonal shades to create a highly complementary fabric. Of the four colourways available, Silk Yellow is Michael’s favourite, capturing the collection’s archival essence. Designed to transition seamlessly between indoor and outdoor spaces, it’s printed on a textured, performance-led fabric specially selected for its refined finish and tactile handle.

This indoor/outdoor fabric is digitally printed at Zoffany’s historic UK factory onto an outdoor-ready base that’s mould resistant, lightfast, and finished with a C0 fluorine-free treatment for stain and water repellency.
