Artistry

Artistry

From wondrous beginnings discovered at Temple Newsam during the estate's restoration, to the precise revival of archival designs, the historical significance of restored designs is pivotal in our ethos. We believe the beauty and craftsmanship of the past should not be lost to time but renewed and carried forward for future generations.
Provenance

Provenance

Collaboration with exemplary artists and makers underpins our brand. Working closely with QEST scholars, emerging and established talent around the globe, and highly skilled makers, our storytelling is layered with artistic sincerity, making way for these masterpieces of the future.
Restoration

Restoration

While our story began at the discovery of Temple Newsam’s treasures, our commitment to provenance extends worldwide. These global influences inform our work, from Chinese silks to French cottons, and we embrace the authenticity and originality of documents, always honouring provenance in everything we do.
Description

Bringing a luxurious feel to any interior, these five stunning jacquards are inspired by original domino designs in the Zoffany archive. Despite their provenance, the designs share a contemporary feel and an almost 3D appearance. Updated as a range of very smart and hugely versatile geometrics, each design is an excellent coordinate and a wonderful way to add interest into a room. Domino papers are the earliest form of wallpaper, printed by hand and originally used as book covers or for lining chests of drawers. Most popular during the 18th century, decorative single sheets were occasionally used to adorn the walls of smaller rooms and it`s these decorative papers that have influenced our collection of Domino Weaves.
